The right foot represents the right side of the body and the left foot represents the left side of the body. Both feet are worked on during a session, and the client remains fully clothed. Reiki is energy healing/energy balancing. Reiki is based on the concept that all living things have energy, and without energy there can be no life. The client remains fully clothed during the session. Reiki is very relaxing and is a wonderful healing modality for those suffering from PTSD, depression, anxiety, insomnia, fibromyalgia, migraines, and those who do not like to be touched. During a session the practitioner may lightly touch the client or hover the hands above the body without touching.
Based on client preference and can be any combination of light, medium, or deep pressure, trigger point therapy, myofascial release techniques, cupping, and stretching. The main goal of massage is to relax the client while relieving pain, improving flexibility and circulation, and reducing stress and anxiety.
A hollow, cone-shaped “candle” is lit and gently placed in the ear canal. As it burns, wax and fluid are removed from the ear. This relieves ear pain, sinus congestion, headaches, improves hearing, and is very relaxing.
